Tim and Cortney share a love for God, ministry and Camp Schafer. They were raised in Hancock County, the location of our camp. They have two children and the four of them reside at the camp. They love being outdoors and meeting new people! They would love to hear from you about using the camp for a retreat, week of camp, or a picnic.

FACILITIES PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Daviess-McLean Baptist facilities were provided by God's benevolence and are consecrated to His glory (Col. 3:17).  Therefore, the Daviess-McLean Baptist Association facilities are to be used exclusively to glorify God.  Although the facilities are not generally open to the public, Daviess-McLean Baptist Association makes its facilities available to approved employees and outside groups on a case-by-case basis as a witness to its faith, in a spirit of christian charity, and as a means of demonstrating the Gospel of Jesus Christ in practice.

Daviess-McLean Baptist Association facilities may not be used for activities that contradict, or are inconsistent with, Daviess-McLean Baptist Association's beliefs as summarized in the Daviess-McLean Baptist Association's statement of faith.  This restricted facility use policy is necessary for two reason.  First, Daviess-McLean Baptist Association may not in good conscience materially cooperate in activities or promote beliefs contrary to its faith (2 Cor. 6:14; 1 Thess. 5:22).  Second, Daviess-McLean Baptist Association must present a consistent public witness to the community through its stewardship of its property.  Allowing facilities to be used by those who express beliefs or engage in practices contrary to Daviess-McLean Baptist Association's faith would have a severe, negative impact on the message Daviess-McLean Baptist Association strives to promote and could cause confusion and scandal to employees and the community.  Therefore, only events consistent with Daviess-McLean Baptist Association's religious beliefs, as determined by the Association Membership, shall be permitted.
