Job Opening - Associational Campus Ministry Leader (ACML) at Kentucky Wesleyan College
Immediate Supervisor: Associational Mission Strategist (AMS) of the Daviess McLean Baptist Association. In Partnership with the Kentucky Baptist Convention (KBC) and Kentucky Wesleyan College (KWC) the ACML will also report to the KBC Regional Campus Minister and the KWC Campus Ministries Director.
Primary Function: The ACML serves as a liaison between the DMBA/KBC and Kentucky Wesleyan College to foster opportunities for students to engage in evangelism, discipleship, worship, and ministry service in cooperation with the KWC Campus Ministries and the churches of the DMBA.
Qualifications: • Dedicated Christian who feels called of God to minister to college age students.• Active member of good standing and reputation in a Baptist church affiliated with the DMBA.• Possesses spiritual and professional maturity to effectively minister to college age students and work in cooperation with other campus ministry leaders, churches, and stakeholders. Responsibilities:1. Be actively engaged in the Campus Ministry Program of Kentucky Wesleyan College.2. Assist the Campus Ministry Program of KWC as assigned by the KBC Campus Ministries Director when feasible.3. Serve as a liaison between the KWC Campus Ministry, the KBC, and the DMBA.4. Connect KWC students with local DMBA churches.5. Connect local DMBA churches with ministry opportunities on the KWC Campus and to KWC students.6. Personally engage KWC students as a spiritual support and Christian role model.7. Engage students in evangelism and evangelism training opportunities with the consent of KWC, KBC, and the DMBA.8. Engage students in discipleship and discipleship training opportunities with the consent of KWC, KBC, and the DMBA.9. Keep the DMBA and the KBC informed of ministry opportunities on the KWC Campus and with KWC students. This task includes making regular reports to the DMBA Associational Mission Strategist, the DMBA Executive Board, and the KBC Regional Campus Minister.10. Maintain a good relationship with KWC as an official representative of the KBC and the DMBA. Compensation and Status: Part-time (avg. 5-10 hours/week or 25-30 hours/monthly – more during periods when students are on campus and less during winter/summer breaks).
