Who & What is the Daviess - McLean Baptist Association And Meet Our Staff

About the dmba

We are an association of 55 Southern Baptist Churches located in Daviess, McLean and southern Ohio counties of Kentucky. We believe that Jesus is our Risen Savior and the Bible is the Inerrant Word of God .

Meet Our MINISTRY STAFF

Dr. Nathan Whisnant Associational Mission Strategist
I have served as the Associational Mission Strategist for the Daviess-McLean Baptist Association since January 2020. I believe that Perhaps Every Dead Frog Must Wiggle! This is an acronym that explains how I try to help the fifty-five churches in our association. It stands for Prayer, Evangelism, Discipleship, Fellowship, Ministry, and Worship.
I have a goal to help every church become a house of prayer, realizing that the only true source of power lies in communication with God. I want to help our churches become evangelistic by identifying lost people, equipping them to share the gospel and helping them to engage lost people with the gospel. I desire to help each church develop an intentional plan of discipleship, strengthening and deepening their walk with Christ. I wish to help our churches fellowship one with another. I long to help churches discover ways to minister to their communities. I aspire to help churches worship God more fervently and genuinely both in their sanctuaries and together as an association. I strive to serve as a pastor to the pastors and staff of the DMBA churches.

Leslie Rice Associational Ministry Administrator
I have served our Association for 19 years, supporting each ministry through using my gift of administration. I love to be the person behind the scenes making sure that the details are worked out and letting the ministry leaders be free to lead. In addtion, I grew up in this community, married, helped raise our son and have served God through the church I am a member of, as well as churches in our Association. Although I love all of our ministries, my heart has always been with the Jail Ministry Christmas Project. What a way to celebrate our Lord Jesus' birth! Usually, I'm the first person to greet you when you visit, or call our office. I hope to be able to greet you soon. My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God".

Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? If not......

1. God loves you and has a purpose for your life (John 3:16; Romans 6:23b; John 10:10; 14:3).
2. Our sin problem keeps us from finding God’s purpose on our own (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 6:23a).
3. God has provided an answer to our problem by sending Jesus Christ (John 14:6; 1:1, 14;
I Peter 3:18; Romans 4:25; John 1:12).
4. Our response is to receive Him as Savior through prayer (Romans 10:9-10, 13).
